Ladies & Gentlemen at Emerson College. I ask you to join an important cause. With The Class Of 2014 commencement approaching, the question of "who will be our commencement speaker" remains a hot topic. The choice is simple. Lil B at surface may be a rapper, but at heart he is an embodiment of the Emerson Experience. Lil B describes himself in his Twitter bio as a "Mogul, First Rapper Ever To Write And Publish A Book at 19, Film Score, Composer, Producer,Director/Photo/Branding/Marketing/Historical Online Figure." Lil B The Based God is a figure who represents the creativity, diversity, entrepreneurship, ambition, outside-the-box thinking, and the do it yourself mindset that Emerson College stands for. His positive message of world peace and tolerance is one that Emerson has built a name for around the country. We could spend ages discussing the parallels between Lil B and Emerson College, but that would be ignoring the mission statement of this project. This is a long term social media campaign that aims to bring Lil B to Emerson College as our commencement speaker. This is our campaign to thank Based God for his contribution to music, and our chance to be part of Emerson History. Are you Rare and Based enough to take part in a large-scale social media campaign? Are you ready for some cooking? Most of all... Are you part of the Task Force?
