Ladies and Gentlemen, Today was the first time I can recall that the (in)famous Jonathan Max Wilson ever commented on my wall. Initially, it seemed a productive conversation might ensue, despite his typically childish, arrogant efforts to label everyone who disagrees with him an apostate. But now he appears to have blocked me. It would seem he dare not expose his religious ideas to greater scrutiny, for fear theyll be obliterated. On that point, hes surely right. Ironically, Ive long believed J Max to be one of the most articulate expositors of an extreme, rigid view of orthodox Mormonism. So engagement with him seems at least potentially fruitful and interesting. But todays events suggest his ideas will thrive best when confined to his own echo chamber, so I guess thats where theyll remain. Oh well.
