Ladies and gents -- If you would have asked me six months ago if I ever planned on visiting Israel I would have laughed at you. Then sometime in March my new boss Craig Yaris came back from Israel and demanded/threatened to fire me/kindly supported me/persuaded me into going to Israel. Today not only do I get the privilege of going to Israel for free, but I also get to go in a time where the country is at war. Although a lot of you have expressed concerns for my safety (which I appreciate), I look at this as an amazing opportunity to really feel /Israeli/. As I have stated, this is how Israelis live, they deal with the constant threat of violence daily. It can only add to the experience of visiting my homeland and make the impact that more meaningful. I have opted to not have a cell phone and/or internet while I am away. There will be opportunity to have Wifi and certain places and people on my trip are brining laptops and ipads. I hopefully will be able to check in and alert you that I am alive one or two times. The only thing I ask is dont have any crazy parties or do anything fun until I get back!
