Ladies, gentlemen, mermaids and mermen! The time has come to leave a wonderful chapter of my life: Shaunagh, my lovely wee boat! She has served me well for the past year of living aboard, but all good things come to an end and so it is with a heavy heart that she is offered for sale. She is a 1973 MacWester Rowan 22, the fibreglass hull will last for a long time to come, sails were replaced within the past 20 years, standing and running rigging replaced 3 years ago, sea-toilet new 2 years ago, recently refurbed in a shabby chic styleeee by myself; with carpet lining for warm/insulation (with battery powered fairy-lights mounted behind the lining for a star-like effect) and sicker-bombed inside for... well no reason, but it looks funky. She has a cosy V-shaped berth up front with a hatch allowing you to sleep under the stars should the weather be favourable. In the main saloon there is a sofa/bed which can be turned into a C shaped bench with raised table. There is currently a double-sized futon mattress in this area, folded into couch-shape! On the other side of the saloon is the kitchen area with gas hob + grill and sink, with cool box behind. She has shore power so you can bring all your electronics; TV, Microwave, heaters, etc. etc. and she has 240V sockets throughout. Inboard engine needs a service (very simple engine) and shell be good to go for some short-haul adventures (A macwester rowan has made it to Australia, but id say thats a little too ambitious for wee shaunagh!) (she also has my microwave, TV, heaters and outboard currently onboard, but Ill be taking these with me unless they are negotiated for an additional cost) Marina fees are £230pm; much cheaper than any accom in Brighton; youll make your money back in a matter of months! Get in touch if youre interested, asking £2,350 ono! Cheers, Chris + Shaunagh
