Lake Matheson, Westland - A favourite of photographers and visitors from all over the world, who come in hope of the rare/perfect mirrored reflection of Mt Cook at sunrise.. I was out running around the lake one morning while guiding a tour, and ran onto the jetty beside the all the gathered , expectant photographers to admire the perfect reflection. The jetty has wooden piles.. My running shook the jetty.. Ripples...moving agonisingly slowly across the perfectly smooth surface.. The gathered photographers slowly turned to look at me as one... They turned me into a newt! ( I got better.. ) :-) Go here, before you die..
