Lake superior is cooling down faster this year than it did last year... And temperatures of cities that are west/northwest of the lake are below normal every day except one in the 10 day forecast.... mid teens every night right now. (the air thats moving onto the lake..... ) Im not a weather guy, but stats like that kinda make me not look forward to the next few months! Last year was the largest ice cover of lake superior in over 35 years.... (1978) Average temp of lake superior right now is 43.06F, which is a full half of a degree colder than yesterday, while today is actually the warm day.... still lost half of a degree in water temp across the lake... Checking back in 10 days... but it looks like lake michigan will cool down 3-5 degrees in the next 5 days...... (All data poached from NOAA maps)
