Jack Mellet Voorsitter: LIBF Cederberg Municipality Notice /2013 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS:CEDERBERG SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK: INVITATION TO ISSUES AND VISION WARD BASED WORKSHOPS: The Cederberg Municipality with the assistance of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) has launched the review of its Spatial Development Framework (SDF). The main objective of the project is to create a credible Spatial Development Framework (SDF) for the Cederberg Municipality in the West Coast District of the Western Cape Province that meets the required standards set by the responsible Provincial government through the implementation of the Comprehensive SDF Guidelines developed by the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) in 2010. CNdV africa (Pty) Ltd was appointed by the aforementioned Department to review the SDF. In reviewing the aforementioned documents, CNdV intends to have workshops with the relevant officials of line departments of the municipality, Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Representative Forum, the respective Ward Committees of the Municipality, other role players and the public in general. The agenda for the first series of workshops is focused to determine, from a spatial perspective, the various Issues that the communities are facing and secondly to understand the vision that they may have for the future of their particular settlement and the municipality.
