Landowners in 19 municipalities are eligible to apply for rebates of up to $2,000 toward the cost of implementing #RainScaping strategies through the Deer Creek Watershed Alliances program. RainScaping consists of an array of sustainable landscaping practices that landowners may employ to relieve rainwater-related problems. In addition to rain gardens and bio-swales, a diverse landscape that includes trees, shrubs, perennials, mulch and amended soils intercepts and disperses rain as it falls, and allows more water absorption into the soil and by plants.
