Last Night I sat down and watched The Croods. For those that dont know its a 3D animated movie thats pretty much The Flintstones, only superhero-esque. Everyone was Super strong, Incredibly fast, had unfathomable Dexterity and Agility. That sort of thing. In the movie, The Family who is now the last surviving family in that area (the other 4 families have been killed by Animals of different kinds) have made it that way by living by a set of a few rules taught by Grug (the Father): Darkness brings death and Fear keeps us alive, so Never not be afraid because Curiosity kills. Now if anyone knows me, they KNOW how my spirit man begins to lean in when watching anything discussing Darkness, Fear, Death, and its a childrens movie. At an early point in the movie Eep the teenage daughter of Grug, who is wide eyed, curious about Life, and Excited about embracing the unknown, retorts her dad (having argued with Him about the way they live) Whats the Point of all of this? What are we Here For? And in another she exclaimed to her Father, That wasn’t living! That was just… not dying! There’s a difference! I think you see where Im going. Long Story Short, after everything they go through, led by this stranger that they meet named Guy, who encourages them that survival isnt about living in fear but living for the adventure and following the sun, Grug comes to a serious Revelation and says to his Daughter: No more dark. No more hiding. No more caves. Whats the point of all this? To follow the light. 🙌🙌🙌 I encourage us all, to put down the Fear, today. To bring ourselves out of the caves and hidings that we choose to go into once the darkness sets in because we feel its safest there, and instead to go THROUGH the darkness searching for the light. It will get dangerous, but if thats why Fire was invented (Holy Spirit), to guide you through the Darkness. In the words of Eeps opening monologue from the movie: With every sun comes a new day. A new beginning. A hope that things will be better today than they were yesterday. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22 #followthelighttodayyall #followthesun #fearnot #nomoredark #nomorehiding #nomorecaves
