Last October, Kevin and I traveled to Panama and then some 60 miles by boat to the largest island (San Jose) in the chain of 100 small islands making up the Las Perlas (the pearls) Island Chain. Serving as a forward command post for the US Army and Navy during WWII, this largest island is now owned by the President of Copa Airlines who has created a lush, exclusive, non advertised micro eco-resort that while being available to the public, doesnt see too many visitors - but wow what an amazing place. Built entirely by hand, mostly of local materials to the island. Really something special that most Americans and anglers will not get to experience. Result has no dock or marina, a local tribesman paddled a small canoe to a mored Zodiak and ferried us two by two to the beach (at night). An experience I will always remember with some truly great, tournament winning anglers - Jan, Jose, Favo, Loki - amazing trip thank you so much for hosting us!!!!
