Last Saturday morning, 60 of you attended our Family Forum in West Hartford, which kicked off with this thought-provoking panel discussion on Building Alliances to Address the Crisis in DDS. In addition to our OFCW members Velma Williams-Estes and Peggy Embardo, we heard from Patrick Johnson (retired Oak Hill president), David Pickus (1199NE president) and Andrea Barton Reeves (HARC president). Though they talked about a deeply troubling crisis, there was tremendous optimism in the room. Families are finally coming together with allies to address years of neglect and fix a broken system!
