Last Sunday I headed over to Shultz’s Guest House to meet & photograph the 2 darling Shih Tzus rescued from a puppy mill in Puerto Rico. I was anticipating they might be a little scared. After all, they were used to a life of being caged . WRONG! What a site it was to see these guys playing so happy with their new found freedom ! No words , no background music needed. The sounds of leaves, the touch of wind thru their fur , the scent of grass, and the room to run and just be dogs was beautiful! Looks like the Shih Tzus, Pepo and Baxter had a thing for Ms. Camile, another rescue from PR. Puppy mill dogs have an awful existence. Shopping at pet stores only perpetuates the cycle. I wish all those caged dogs could be free to experience the joy these lucky pups have romping on a beautiful fall day. Please Adopt Don’t Shop.
