Last Sunday, our Columbian Squires welcomed two new members to our Circle. Jared De Los Santos and David Casagrande are great new members and we are blessed to have them. We counselors look forward to working with them. For those who do not know, the Columbian Squires is the official youth organization of the Knights of Columbus. It is open to Catholic boys age 10 to 17. Here at CGS, our Circle is very active helping out at various events. Coming up, we will be working at the Special Olympics Softball Tournament at Collins Park on Oct. 11th, the CGS Fall Festival on Oct. 18th and, of course, they are always visible at the Pancake Breakfasts at CGS; the next one being on Oct. 26th. We also work in some fun activities such as going to see the Rockets, Wet and Wild Splashtown, Paintball and other such events. We also work to instill our Catholic faith and have implemented an Advancement Program (similar to the Boy Scouts badge Program) that helps the boys learn more about their faith. If your son would be interested in joining our Circle, please feel free to contact our Chief Counselor, Brian Marino, Chuck Kaiser, Hector Suarez or myself. You can also talk with us and the boys at our upcoming Membership Drive where we will be working with the Knights.
