Last evening I observed my fat lazy cat sprinting around the corner as if she was chasing an intruder. I ran after her ready to break up a cat fight and was shocked and amazed that she had somehow managed to catch a young hummingbird! My heart sank into my stomach, I was heartsick, but I managed to take it away from her. It felt so warm and fragile in my hand, it looked ok, but didnt know at first how to help it if it was hurt. I kept it in the house on a soft bit of carpeting, its tiny little head would turn as it watched me watching it. I sure didnt want it to try and fly in the house, so I brought it outside and sat it on one of the songbird platforms hanging from a willow tree, and brought over one of my hummingbird feeders and waited and watched to see if it would rally. And you know what, it did! Such a thrill to see the little fella get air born and fly to a higher place in the tree. I can cross that event off my bucket list, cause Ive always wanted to pet a hummingbird and hold it in the palm of my hand. Finally, my wish came true. Thank you Lord
