Last month we received a monetary donation from: Whole Family Chiropractic | Dr. Tye Moe | Chiropractor St Paul, MN We at HFC Films make it our priority to make every single penny count, and we want you to see where your donations are going. The NEED: The last three summers of filming we experienced some nasty heat waves that left some our actors and crew in a such a state that they were physically and mentally unable to continue without medical attention. We hydrated and did our best to shade everyone with pop-up tents, but the sun and heat continued to be an issue. We needed a way to cool off and stay out of the sun that was both portable and accessible. The ANSWER: A star trailer!!! Because of Dr. Tye and the donation we received, we were able to fix up the 1976 Ford Eldorado Mobile Home we received as a donation from the Jenkins family! A set of push rods, an oil change, a new fuel pump, rockers, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and a new distributer cap + rotor were purchased and installed by Dusty Thune with the advisory help of Hoyeboy Auto Service. The Eldorado made its way to the movie set at Hidden Falls yesterday for the first time! We used it as a costume storage/changing facility, a mobile make-up studio, a shade spot, and a hydration station! Dusty is still working on the air conditioning and making the Eldorado accessible (It is going to require quite a bit of modifications for wheelchair access & $$$) Dusty and Rick are painting the Eldorado and adding a special STAR to the door so that everyone knows this is where the talent hangs out! If you would like to donate to the Eldorado build fund, or help with any of the restoration jobs including painting please message me for details! Things we could use for the Eldorado: Curtains!!! Its hard to be a functional changing room if you dont have privacy! Tires! The ones on the Eldorado look to be fairly old and weather checked. Dusty would really like to replace all 6 tires with new rubber because he says the safety and welfare of our actors are his top priority. We agree… dont you?? Electrical! The Eldorado has a short in the lighting and needs some TLC. Dusty is skilled in tracking down issues and getting slightly electrocuted, but he is waaaay too busy making costumes, writing script changes, directing, producing, fundraising, and squeezing in time with his family to do it all. Please help!!! Paint!! Dusty and Rick are sanding and preparing for primer right now, but could really use a village of friends to help out. There is a LOT of surface area on a mobile home!!
