Last night I taught a 2 hour workshop called Yoga for Addiction and Recovery with Heather McManus Osborne. It was amazing! The spirit in the room was breathtaking and I feel so honored to be able to tell my story and create a space for others to heal, to gather courage and find inspiration. The video is dark, which is best to maintain privacy. This was the final moment, similar to what happens at an AA meeting I had the students make a giant circle around the room holding hands to recite the serenity prayer together. But instead of speaking the prayer I decided to do a call and response song. (Right before I began singing I heard Monte Smocks voice in my head saying Sing it loud and sing it Proud!) The moment was truly magical!
