Last night I was given the opportunity to volunteer with Saint Vincent De Paul doing home visits for people in need of clothing, food, rental and utility assistance, pay for storage fees and most importantly sharing and being present with people who really are hurting and lack some of the basic needs to function in life. Let’s face it, there has been a time when we all have needed help. Last night, I just happened to be able to deliver the dollars and comfort on behalf of those who have donated their hard earned funds to assist people. I was reminded how God works in our lives. I was reminded that we must help and care for our fellow human beings. I was reminded that how comforting it is to share among women to women. I was reminded even if you work hard we all still need help at times. I thank all who have donated their time and resources and for allowing me to volunteer again with a organization that truly delivers needs to people. It was a true moving experience last night.
