Last night I watched Alive Inside: A Story Of Music And Memory on Netflix and I kid you not I ugly cried from start to finish. Not an exaggeration, my forever boyfriend can vouch for that. Its about folks in nursing homes who have withdrawn into their dementia, Alzheimers and/or mental illnesses who are given iPods filled with songs from their youth. Their reactions are unanimously make you believe in God like. On the radio today was Joni Mitchell and Brahms and Grateful Dead. It made me think of how joyous it would be to hear that music no matter what my state of being was and what an otherworldly gift music is in the least cheesy and obvious way of expressing that true feeling. It made me ugly cry in my little car. MUSIC OH MY GOODNESS YALL!!!!!!!! Then I realized that I had to snap out of it or my mascara would go arunnin and so I put on country radio.
