Last night I watched the movie Rudderless, directed by the fantastic William H. Macy. There is so much to recommend the film - particularly the sensitive and beautiful performances by Billy Crudup and Anton Yelchin and the way in which the ending conveys hope, but still lets grief sing through. Not sure I believed the plot twist, but it sure did its job in terms of ratcheting up the stakes in the final scenes - so I suppose it worked...just wished there was more groundwork laid for its believability. If you like simply told, emotionally rich movies with a theme of the healing and redemptive powers of music - you will love this film! https://youtube/watch?v=FGBVnURPuOg
