Last night I went to this speakeasy where you open a fridge and you walk through it as a door into a 70s themed bar, it was fantastic. At one point, two dancers on rollerskates (The woman was dressed up as WonderWoman) broke out into full on skate ensemble! Full of spins and twirls and a finale with a firework, literally. Afterward my friends took me to sip some dreamsicle creamsicles at a diner and I impulsively said to an elderly man with white hair that sat down near us, You look like you have all the answers. Turns out, he had a lot of answers. He sounds like he is a legend filmmaker. (I unfortunately didnt even ask his name.) He asked to see my work and I showed him some moving portrait films of mine, he enjoyed them and encouraged me, but he also said something fantastic, You are so friendly, and you look very rested. You arent working hard enough. I will always be friendly, but I can always work harder. Inspiration for the day.
