Last night Raleigh Ladner started complaining that something was in her eye. We did all the usual things- flushed it out, eye drops, shower, looked in it from every angle and could not see a thing. She was finally able to fall asleep, only to wake up this morning with it still there. The irritation continued to get worse and she was pretty miserable, so at noon we went to the eye doctor. After numbing her eye and checking it out closely, the doctor turned her top lid inside out to find the wing of a small insect was imbedded into her upper eyelid! She was able to show it to us when she removed it. When the numbness wore off, Raleighs eye was good as new and the pain gone! She said, It felt like a rhino in my eye stabbing me with his tusk, but it was only a little insect wing. So happy to see her eye back to normal and that rhino gone.
