Last night and tonight are my nights to stay with mom. Last night I brought Garrett with me so I could have some time with him (wont see him until after 8pm tomorrow night otherwise) but left him with Russell tonight. So before I leave for moms, I peek into his room to say goodbye. Might have been easier to sneak out but that breeds insecurity. The exchange went as follows: Me: bye bud, see ya tomorrow! Garrett: Nonononono! (wraps arms around my leg) Me: Cmon kiddo, I have to go now. Garrett: (raises arms for me to pick him up which I do) Mommy! Mommy! My mommy! Russell: hey Garrett, want to come watch Mickey Mouse with daddy? Garrett: No! (grips tighter, buries his face in my shoulder) Russell: want your dinner now? Garrett: NO!! (wraps his legs around my ribs) Me: you want daddy to put a puzzle together with you? Garrett stops whining, looks up at the ceiling for 3 full seconds, slides down and waves at me. Garrett: Bye mommy! Bye bye! Why you little drama queen..! (sold out for a Jake and the Neverland Pirates puzzle. Boy loves him some puzzles. )
