Last night at the dinner table my Dad told Richard Cook a story - TopicsExpress

Last night at the dinner table my Dad told Richard Cook a story of being a young lifeguard with the ability to make arrests as we all talked about the seriousness of police brutality and ethics-freedom. My Dad was using this story as an example of at first how police can be taunted and deal responsibly with stress of this to the absurdity this story ends up of how this ends up to be an extremely wealthy daughter of at the time a Senator out of Maryland my Dad was beach patrol in Avalon New Jersey and this girl that caused so much chaos and put others lives at risk on the beach that day had the backing from being a relation to people with extreme connection and power that he had no idea of at first as she was very drunk and in a swimsuit when after giving her many chances he laid down the law that it was eye opening to my Dad to see this all unfold in front of his eyes as well as ridiculous. By the end the family paid the fine-ticket that today was the equivalent of 350 dollars but was 15 dollars back then and no one was physically harmed but it alarmed my Das when the higher ups to make sure he felt better told him they had the Billy clubs - guns and all the rest to deal with citizens and were prepared to use them. Richard my Dad and my entire family were in agreement that video cameras on at all times recording everything the police do will not only protect police it gives the entire truth and protects society. I feel like if the government can watch us then why equally should we not be free to watch them too? This is not about not supporting the police we do support them when they are protecting and serving the community. I am always working to come up with solutions to keep peace officers safe and help people to not fall back to old ways. This is about boundaries set in the open that we all are aware of that can hold us all accountable and its a simple as that...
