Last night saw the Annual General Meeting of this band take place in what can only be described as a positive & enthusiastic atmosphere. Congratulations must go to the Chairman who conducted the meeting in an excellent manner. The business carried out, Office bearers were then elected, and then the aims and ambitions of the band for the next 12 months were then discussed, Concert Flute Study Group & Marching band Bb tuition will remain on a Monday evening from 6pm until 9pm under Mrs Alison R Pinkerton, G Mus; A.L.C.M; L.L.C.M. (TD) Cert, Prague Conservatoire Full Band practice will now be held on a Tuesday evening from 7pm - 9pm under the watchful eye of Alex Abbott Composer/Conductor who will be in charge of the bands musical program, meanwhile Drumming with Julie will continue on a Tuesday from 8pm til 10pm. All tuition groups will be held in the Stanrigg Memorial Hall, Greengairs. As has been the case in previous years Tuition groups & Full Band rehearsals will welcome any person along who has the desire to learn. All members left the meeting in an enthusiastic mood as to the challenges that lie ahead. Tuition is available on Concert Flute, Marching Band Bb Flute, Snare, Tenor & Bass Drum.
