Last night, the Lynchburg City School Board approved the appointment of Mr. Leverne Marshall as the next principal of Sandusky Middle School. Mr. Marshall has held leadership positions within Lynchburg City Schools for more than 20 years. He has been principal of William Marvin Bass Elementary School since 1994 and before that was principal of Dearington Elementary School. Prior to coming to LCS, Mr. Marshall was principal of Appomattox Middle School. Mr. Marshall has also spent several years teaching elementary and middle school classes. Mr. Marshall received his bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina in 1980 and his masters in Educational Administration from Western Michigan University in 1988. “Mr. Marshall has a track record of success in Lynchburg City Schools,” said LCS Superintendent Scott Brabrand. “I am confident he will bring the same success to the students, faculty, parents, and community of Sandusky Middle School.”
