Last night was our annual Darts comp at the New Inn and 13 of us attended to try and stop our President making it 4 years in a row. After a close fought game of Halve it the four semi finalists were John W, Tex, Jon G and Rob A. Steak and chips were the order of the day (No green bits Neil) before the finals were to commence and with darts on the tv in the back ground plenty of sledging and banter was being had by the semi finalists. Rob A was pitted against John W and Tex against Jon G in a best of 3 legs. John W and Tex were both triumphant meaning a repeat of the final from last year. This time though Tex was taking no prisoners and won the best of 5 legs final in 3 straight legs and breaking the grip John has had for the past 3 years! Congratulations to the new champ Tex and a massive thanks to Jon G for organising a cracking night once again. Thanks also to Rob A who came bearing gifts of Mince pies that were gratefully received by the boys.
