Last night was the biggest fundraiser that For The Animals has ever organised, and I am incredibly proud to announce that it was a HUGE success with a total of $6,000 exactly being raised. This of course means that Wodonga Dog Rescue, Albury Cat Rescue, Kangaloola Wildlife Shelter and Maremma Rescue Victoria all receive $1,500 EACH! So much time, effort, love and care went into this incredible event and some thank-yous are definitely in order. Thank you firstly to the owner of Zilch, Roger, for allowing us to host the auction in his wonderful venue and being so generous and supportive. Thank you to Danielle, Erin and Emma for their amazing service on the night, and especially to Dani who did so much organising and put so much work in. Thank you so much to Leah and Josh who were wonderful MCs for the night, we raised an extra $1,000 with Leah’s impromptu auctioneer skills. Thank you to Melissa, Kelly, Maddy, Josh, Kelly, Alyson, Rachael and Renee for all their hard work carting the room full of art and prizes from my house to Zilch, I think we were all feeling a bit sore and sorry for ourselves after that mammoth effort. Thank you to the band for playing, it really set the mood for everything that was to come in the night. Thank you to Alyson for taking photos throughout the night. Thank you to Josh who did so much of the organising in the months leading up. Thank you to Rachael who helped pick up all the products and make all the place-cards and name badges for the night. A HUGE thank you to all the sponsors who got involved, we had a total of 40 businesses supporting us which is incredible! And of course, a GINORMOUS thanks to the brilliant artists who donated over 42 pieces to be auctioned off. Without them there would have been no art auction! Thank you to the over 150 people who came to bid on art, enjoy the wine, get into the raffle ticket fever and just generally make the night a success. And finally, the biggest thank you must go to our group, For The Animals, who have worked so, SO hard to achieve something so incredible. I am so incredibly proud of you all, and feel very thankful to be leading such a wonderful, hard-working, passionate group of people! THANK YOU EVERYONE!
