Last summer, the world witnessed one of the most remarkable events in corporate communications, and it happened right here in Massachusetts. A fight for the control of a family business -- the Demoulas Market Basket grocery stores -- was decided by the will of its employees, many of whom risked their livelihoods to defy senior management. On Monday, Oct. 20, 6-7:30 pm, Emerson will examine these issues in a panel discussion called Food Fight: The Market Basket Ownership Battle. At the Liebergott Black Box Theatre. The event is open to the Emerson community and is sponsored by the Office of Communications & Marketing with Alumni Relations.
