Last week I mentioned I had an announcement coming….Well here it is!!! After 15 years with YWAM, Come the fall of 2015 I am planning to leave or at least take a season away from Cowboys With Mission. Here is the short story (Long story to follow): Most of you already know that I have spent the last several weeks seeking God and praying for direction. During this time a couple of different friends mentioned a Christian elementary school in need of teachers. After a good deal of prayer and seeking wise counsel I have submitted an application to teach school in the fall of 2015. I like kids and love learning and everyone around me, assures me it is a natural fit. I suppose if I don’t get the job I will revisit what the fall of 2015 looks like :-) In the meantime I am moving forward on faith in what my Papa God seems to be saying. At this point I am still on staff with CWAM, I still plan to lead the Spring DTS and take that team to Mongolia (Nothing has changed!). I just enrolled in an online course that will last from now till March- I believe this class will better prepare me as a missionary and as a mentor of young people, I look forward to applying what I will be learning to my next DTS team and to my future ministry. When we return from Mongolia I plan to leave Cowboys With A Mission after August of 2015. I am Not saying I will never return to CWAM or Missions…as that has been my heart and passion for a very long time. I am just saying that I feel God is leading me in a new direction at least for now; To be honest this has been a very hard decision to make…but I really feel like God is in this. Tomorrow I will send out the long version of the story.
