Last week, I represented #ASU and #DREAMzone at the Clinton Foundations Future of the Americas conference. Main takeaways: - Invest in women - Grow local (not national) governments more - Leading cause of premature deaths are chronic illnesses - Patient and provider must develop a relationship for adequate recovery - Public/public partnerships equally as important as public/private - 40% of Latin American marketplace is under skilled - We must move toward student-centered pedagogy - Focus on the trim lines over the headlines Questions Clinton posed: -Is there a model of collaboration we can adopt to increase the growth in the Americas? - Will national governments become more or less important in a countrys development and what will their role be?
