Last week I spoke on a local radio station @102_jams. They contacted me back when Trayvon Martin was killed, then they contacted me when Mike Brown was killed. Last week they contacted me regarding Eric Garner. Thanks for the opportunity 102_jamz. The point is that my opinion really doesnt matter, but the bigger question is how can we change the fact our new generation has No respect for law enforcement? As I spoke to some of my kids that we mentor through athletics. I realized that some of these kids have no father, a struggling mother and they have never met or had a relationship with a police officer. Our law enforcement should resemble the group that it represents. Also they should make additional efforts to get to know our youth. As a result we are currently coordinating a Lawyers vs. GPD, Police Officers basketball game. My AAU organization will be there and we will invite others to join us. Lets get to know one another and learn from one another. Bring your kids and let them shake the hands of change. Date and time of the game is still to be determined!
