Lastest news on our Billy... Medvets a minute ago: Billy is still in a comma. He is still alive and we will continue to treat and care for him. Any opinions to do otherwise are well heard but at the moment we are not considering putting Billy to sleep. As long as there is a chance for him to LIVE we will stand by him and give him that chance. He does have other serious medical issues that we do know of, but we can only make decisions about them when and if Billy wakes up. Keeping Billy alive has nothing to do with money as for first we will donate all money paid by Tsokkos Hotels for his treatment to the local Animal Welfare Societies and for second we at Medvets believe that part of our job is also to help any animals in need even if sometimes this means we will not be paid. Please ask anybody that knows Medvets and they will tell you that this is not the first time we have done charities. It is an ongoing situation and poor Billy is just one case that took such a big publicity. Medvets owner is also a member at the Animal Welfare Committee, Famagusta area, appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, a committee that works to improve animal rights in the area. It is a voluntary work. That means no payment is provided. Thank you again and sorry if by our statement we went against some people believes that Billy should be put to sleep. AS LONG AS THERE IS A CHANCE TO SURVIVE WE WILL FIGHT FOR HIM. We can only hope and do our very best as it is up to Billy to wake up.
