Lately Ive been asked by a lot of people about batteries. What can they buy to replace the VTC5s that are impossible to get now. One word. Samsung. The 25R is my battery of choice now. They seem to last longer than my Sonys and in mechs they seem to not get as hot. Im going to give you my opinion on these but please do all sub ohming at your own risk and do your own research. Now these are rated at 20 amps continuos and 100 amps pulse I believe. I think the Sonys are 30/60. At that 20 amps you really shouldnt build lower than about .22 with these but what Im wondering is why the pulse is higher than the Sony batts. Is Samsung being conservative with their continuos rating and are these capable of a higher continuos amperage? I have no clue. What I can tell you is that I have been using these a lot at .2+ and they dont seem to get as warm as the Sonys at .2. I have been buying these at bevapehappy cause they have 2 for $14 but I know a lot of other vendors have them too. Again, this is just my experience and please dont build as low as I do unless you are experienced and have educated yourself on the subject.
