Latest GFS model run for October 31st, 2014, Halloween. Of course this model and the actual weather may be different between now and the end of the month, but its interesting to see how it looks this far out (more models will have data to take into consideration especially later this week and weekend). The surface map shows an area of high pressure meaning fair weather in the northeast with no big rain nor snow anticipated as of this posting. The second map is for temperatures a few thousand feet above the surface. If we get the sun out with a little breeze we could have full mixing occur in the atmosphere. If this were to verify with the numbers on the map, we could see high temperatures that day in the 60s! THIS FORECAST IS NOT GUARANTEED AT THIS TIME, however the more model runs that continue to show both the dry weather and the warm weather that come out next two weeks the higher the confidence will be for it to come true.
