Latest New from The Wrecking Crew DVD Dear Friend and family of Wrecking Crew . I know many of you are curious about the progress of the DVD and are wondering about the latest updates on our distribution progress. We are in final negotiations with a first class distributor and will be making an official announcement imminently. I cant tell you more until the deal is finally done at which time I can give you concrete dates and tell you who will be our partners in the last leg of the film journey. I apologize for the delay and I really appreciate your patience and support. We know the film will be released theatrically in a limited market that allows us to earn national press and reviews. DVDs and Downloads will go out after that theatrical run. With over 140 songs that were licensed, each license has multiple parties involved and we are painstakingly going through each license to make sure we havent made any mistakes. Then each piece has to be scanned and organized. In the meantime, I continue to cut out takes. Todays short film involves Pianist Mike Lang, a Beatle, Cher and Harry Nilsson. And now - BEST FOR LAST We are finally sending out Tommy Tedescos last solo recording Best For Last to those who ordered on Kickstarter. The release has been slightly delayed because we added three additional songs recorded at the same session in 1992. Those songs were supposed to be the basis for an Italian Samba Band with five other fantastic musicians joining my father on some classic Italian Samba - Frank Morocco on Accordion, Vincent Trombetta on Saxophones, Vinnie Colaiuta on Drums, Bob Zimmitti on Percussion, and Jennifer Leitham on Bass. The only person without a vowel ending her last name was Leitham. Everyone walked away from the session feeling good about it. But a few months later, our dad had a massive stroke. He lost much of his right hand technique and his playing days were over. We silently shelved the project without ever talking about it or ever listening to it again. It wasnt until this last year that we decided to revisit this recording. The CD will be available as well as downloads. Recently, I was honored to be interviewed by Marc Maron for his critically acclaimed podcast, WTF. If you are not familiar with Marcs comedy or his show, beware, there is language that may offend some. But its one of the best interviews in all of these years. And if you get a chance take a listen to many of his other interviews with so many legends like; Robin Williams, Will Ferrell, Bob Newhart, Paul Reiser and so many more. I was just blown away to be asked to do this interview. I have some select screenings coming up.
