Latest reports from the Central African Republic indicate that a group of 32 women and children have been released by the Lord’s Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony. This is in addition to 13 women and children who came out on Sunday bringing the number of those who have escaped captivity to 45 in a space of two days. The 32 were released in a place called Digba in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the same area where the LRA released 21 women in March last year. According to a release by Invisible Children Uganda, several women and children have escaped captivity since the African Union forces and the US military forces launched a rescue mission in the Central Africa Republic where the elusive LRA leader is believed to be hiding.
