Latest update on mom, I may be missing a few things so feel free to ask questions. If you know her shes a feisty little lady and it has return... Stank eye and all... THANK GOD! She is able to carry long conversation, course out the nurses and understand what she is saying. Still in restraints bc she pulled out her nasal tube which feeds and medicated here. Well the nurse wanted to try giving her meds orally... (She was not happy to say the least!) the nurse and I discussed me giving it a try to talk her into taking them from me.... So I kindly reminded her of how she once made me drink that nasty orang and pink meds when I was a young boy and told her it was pay back... She laughed and smiled and took the meds like a champ. She also passed the swallowing test so that she can eat soft foods and liquids. To me this was the best news of the day. Well mom wasnt so happy... She said and I quote (that shit comes out the faucet... Talking about water and then said I want a Dr. Pepper and a cigarette) well she got her nicotine patch and the dr. Told me she can have light sips of Dp.) Mom was scheduled for an MRI only to be on the safe side, but wasnt calm enough to do it which got rescheduled for in the morning. Which she still wasnt thrilled about until I mentioned one little thing... I told her that if she would let the Drs do the MRI in the morning I would bring her DP to sip on. She thanked God and told me no worries. So thats scheduled for the am and if all goes as planed she will be in a rehabilitation center and good as new in no time. She mentioned Corey Ross, (Ashley Nevils) Emiley Mount Meagon Nevils Elizabeth Lewis and many others today. I cant thank you all enough for the prayers and support bc it is clearly working and me still having my mom is proof!!! Thanks so much, Jr
