Laughter, love, frowns, and tears. Looking up into the welcoming - TopicsExpress

Laughter, love, frowns, and tears. Looking up into the welcoming glow of the full moon, he smiled while asking. “Laughter and love is that what life is all about? Then why has my heart been broken, as my tears fall only to become one with the blood of a displaced heart?” His eyes grew as emotions not of his own making began to form words within his mind. “Young child there is so much you still need to learn about life. For every smile there is a frown, and for every love there will be a tear. To think that you can only have laughter and love without frowns or tears would be missing the point about life.” Sitting up just a little straighter, as the moon now has his full attention. “Missing the point of life? Can you break that down for someone who is not as old as you my dear moon?” After a few quite moments once again emotion filled words embrace him. “My young friend, how many times have you laughed, and loved, only to forget what you were doing to bring those to beautiful things to you? How many times have you given the earth your tears, forgetting why they are filled with sorrow? That my young one is the point, for every tear you have shed every, unhappiness is from you forgetting what made you smile and brought you love. For every laughter, and love you have ever had, you have forgotten what fills your tears with sorrow.” With a greater insight he asked one more question just so he could better wrap his mind around what he sought so desperately to fully understand. “If I don’t forget the reasons for my laughter and love, can I then avoid frowns and tears?” Right after his words were spoke laughter filled me and her words fallowed. “Dearest, if you are your only love, then yes you can avoid frowns and tears. Yet if you share this laughter and love, it will depend on the one who embraces you not to forget as well. That is the only trouble I have seen with laughter and love. That one person forgets what should never be forgotten, and with that, one if not both will embrace frowns and tears.” By Jonathan Germundson
