I do LNA work for children and post op women (hysts etc) and I do the deliveries on the OB side. Because of my LNA I am asked to work with the occasional precaution patient. (C. Diff, MRSA etc) what kinda of protocol should be followed in the case that Ive just left a precautions room and then have to scrub in for a surgery. Ive been told in the past that I would have to shower before the case. Is this true? I cannot seem to find any guidelines anywhere. Thanks so much!!
