Law & Order Magazine recently announced the winners of the 2014 Police Vehicle Design Contest the Benewah County Sheriff’s Office was awarded 1st Place in the category of “SHERIFF UP TO 25 DEPUTIES, EAST & WEST”. This is the design chosen by you, the people of Benewah County, and we would like to thank you again for your support and input. This is a national honor we are very proud to have received. The graphics were designed and installed by a local sign company with the only cost to our agency being the materials. As printed in the magazine: SHERIFF UP TO 25 DEPUTIES, EAST & WEST FIRST PLACE Benewah County Sheriff St. Maries, ID Sheriff Dave Resser wanted a bold new design that would be readily identifiable and uniquely Benewah County. The sheriff, the administrative officers, and the patrol deputies were involved and designs were posted to the Sheriff’s Facebook page for public comment. One design was overwhelmingly chosen by the citizens. A subdued silhouette of a bull elk along with mountains and trees span the lower section while a custom reflective door star and bold SHERIFF stand out in green and gold to match not only the uniforms worn by the agency but also the colors of the local school sports teams. Judges’ comments: The black mural/graphic matches the black rims. The SHERIFF lettering in gold stands out, as well as the star/shield. We love the elk graphic on the door! https://facebook/BenewahCountySheriffsOffice?ref=hl
