Lead Bullets Are the Devil Posted by Tom Hudson on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 The People’s Socialist Republic of California have struck again. This time, they were able to eradicate the worst environmental enemy since cow flatulence—the lead bullet!! Because of it, the precious Condor has apparently been eating remnants of lead bullets and dying in droves. Who’s to blame for this tragedy? Well, hunters and shooters, of course. The State of California has now outlawed the use of lead bullets, and if the Federal Government gets their way, this California lead bullet ban will stretch across this great land. The most interesting point is that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) did a study on lead bullets and found that they had little to no impact on the environment or on animals including humans. So why in the world is California banning lead bullets? To crawl inside the mind of a California politician is akin to going inside the mind of a deranged lunatic–a place I would as soon not go, but in the interests of my loyal readers, I will attempt this death-defying feat! After sliding past their ideas that humans are the cause of all evil, I come to the real agenda behind lead bullets. It’s actually pretty simple and brilliant on their part. By hiding behind the mantra of protecting animals, they will be able to drive the cost of ammunition through the roof. On average, lead bullets are about 6 times cheaper than non-lead bullets. By making lead bullets illegal, many shooters won’t be able to afford to shoot anymore. Mission accomplished. The facts don’t matter to the people; they will do whatever it takes to eliminate guns. If people can no longer afford to buy bullets or reload their own, then what is the point of having a gun? The fact of the matter is that lead is a naturally occurring element—Pb on your Periodic Table. So, shooting an element back into nature will have zero effect on wildlife. This group also claims that people who eat meat of an animal that has been killed using lead bullets have elevated lead levels. This has been proven to be false. The EPA rejected this argument outright. Even though these lies have been rejected by the feds, the local government in California has accepted them as fact and had the typical knee jerk reaction. I hope that one day, my fellow shooters in California will enjoy the same Second Amendment rights that I do. But somehow, I doubt that will ever happen. Our fellow citizens’ rights are being eroded away, bit by bit, like a rock being pounded by the wind and surf. One day, if we are not vigilant, our rights will be a thing of the past. My fear is that this day is coming sooner, rather than later.
