Leaders Must Deliver Dependents from Birth and Death. The Srimad Bhagavatam states that one should not become a leader unless he can deliver his dependents from the cycle of birth and death. Sadly, the modern day governments do just the opposite. Instead of delivering their citizens from the clutches of birth and death, they guide them in such a way that they become even more tightly bound up in this material existence. Therefore the greatest necessity of the modern day world society is that there should now emerge a new class of saintly, enlightened leaders in all spheres of human activity who can do the greatest good for the suffering humanity by guiding everyone both by words and example how to utilize the human form of life for going back to home, back to Godhead.
