Leadership isn’t a cakewalk and the only preparation is practice. I have always been drawn to leadership for many reasons. I love team building, organizing around a feeling, a mission and a goal. I appreciate the power and impact a group can have on a mission for good. I have loved been building teams since I was a kid, around dance, around my first jobs, and now with Strala. I realize and acknowledge that I am able to do a lot with my own energy and efforts, but with a group, we are able to accomplish so much more. I learn so much from my mentors on leadership, team building, and using my intuition and following intention around choices and actions within my business. I have great mentors who have big hearts, full of clear intentions that help many. I avoid mentors and advisors who rely on business plans, spread sheets, and margins as their main motivation. I encourage you in your leadership opportunities to do the same. The world needs less people giving energy to margins and stepping on others to get ahead and more people that are interested in helping and healing. Within the structure of Strala there is an incredible amount of freedom. People who practice experience and gain the benefits of freedom of body and mind which translates into life. In order for this offering to be effective and true, it is the same tone of my leadership intention. In order for the classes to work, the leader has to be open and at ease and willing to let go of control. A Hidden Win. Leading with freedom is interesting, challenging, and highly rewarding. Most “wins” I have in my business are not seen by many. Most challenges are often filtered through opinion and an outsider’s lens and have little to do with the root. I’ve learned to be an effective dictator a big ego is required with a weakness for the spotlight. Dictators have a great amount of control and support for a period of time. They are usually brought down at some point. To be an effective leader of freedom, you have to be willing to leave your self open. Open to opportunity. Open to collaboration. Open to attack. Open to betrayal. Open to greatness. It all goes together and you can’t have the great without the challenges. Freedom leaders are my heros. I aspire to be like my heros, to take on their qualities and to live from a place of intention of helping and healing. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, but the super heros for good are so much more powerful than the super heros for not so good. EGO VS PERMISSION As you rise in leadership the lure of vanity, ego, and demoralizing others to elevate yourself can become tempting. Avoid this temptation when you rise. Help others avoid this temptation by being gracious and leading by example. A big part of Strala is empowering others through freedom of movement, permission to move, and the tools to explore unapologetically what works best for each individual. This concept is the process of nature which is organized chaos. Moving in the breeze. Gracefully changing seasons, clouds passing and sun rising and setting. Every leaf is different and unique and fits in the world perfectly. An example is how we learn. I teach in the trainings people in your classes will do what you do, not do what you say, so watch how you do. I choose to give freedom no matter the outcome. What do you choose? xo Tara
