Leading up to the celebration of my 25th birthday yesterday, I was extremely apprehensive. At 25 I felt like I should have accomplished this or that or been to certain places and seen certain things, but those things had not happened. Upon yesterday, I realized what I do have, and that is Gods favor. Ive been blessed to see 25, I have a job with promise, and family and friends to support me. God has a plan for me and I need to have faith in the course that he has created for my life. A sermon based on 1 Samuel 17:32-37 provided the congregation with these things to think about: 1. Have a vision of victory for you life 2. Be selective of who speaks to your spirit 3. Be aware of your anointing and 4. Believe in the power of prayer. Ive decided that these will be the things that Im focusing on in my 25th year. It is my goal to truly believe in what God has in store for my life and understand that he makes no mistakes. Though trials and tribulations may come, I will know that everything is in his plan. Paula Camp, thank you for helping me understand these things leading up to this milestone in my life. Thank you for being a role model for me in my growing relationship with God. Im sure that 25 is going to be an amazing year!
