Learning about the impacts of the many proposed projects to ship oil, coal, and bitumen via rail and ship through the Salish Sea. Risk of vessel accidents and spills would rise sharply, and maps of drift cards show how far throughout the Salish Sea the spilled oil would go. This is devastating, without even thinking about all the other impacts of the projects, such as the effects of all this extra carbon being put into our systems. It is time to stop this nonsense and move toward alternative, cleaner energy sources.
