Learning environments at the Firs week commencing 19th January 2015 Babies - Noahs Ark Babies will be going on a journey exploring the story of Noahs Ark! They will be crafting different animals using handprints and various materials along with creating a big ark out of a cardboard box for role play. The babies will also take part in water play exploring the idea of floating and sinking as well as practicing their counting singing the animals went in 2 by 2 hurrah hurrah!. Older babies - Our bodies. The older babies this week will be getting to know their bodies! They will be extending their vocabulary pointing to the various body parts and explore their senses in lots of detail. The babies will be using their whole bodies to mark make and paint with as well as take part in some baby yoga extending their physical skills. Toddlers - Knights and Castles Toddlers will be discovering castles and knights this week through a range of activities such as going on dragon hunts around the garden and using the soft play to create a big castle cosy corner. They will be learning some new key words such as drawbridge and moat and will be role playing mini jousting games. Preschool - The story of The Stick-Man. Preschool will be creating a big stick person family tree so we would love to have some family photos if possible to add to this. Preschool will be putting together their own stick people with a range of outdoor materials and will be using the mud kitchen so please bring spare clothes! Preschool will also be going on a sound walk in the garden.
