Learning to race a motorcycle has been one of the most - TopicsExpress

Learning to race a motorcycle has been one of the most intimidating experiences of my life, but the scariest things are often the most rewarding ones. The LRRS Rookie Race is a rite of passage - you have to complete it without crashing to get your race license. I put together this video from my rookie weekend The shots from behind the windshield are from the actual race. I splashed in some video from other sessions / camera angles to make it more interesting. I set the music to Welcome to the Jungle - because theres so much to learn that first weekend. Something as simple as knowing when to head over to the start line can have huge implications. A few minutes too early - your tires get cold and you could lose grip and crash on the first lap. A few seconds too late and you miss the race (been there). Oh....and hoping to help some people get through their own rookie weekends next year (cough, cough, Nathan Anderson Ryan Watters) At the end of the video I tried to thank the groups of people who helped me through that weekend (if I missed anybody PM me :-) The Penguin Road Racing School Garage 12 Center (for adopting me): Brendan Guy Joseph Latona B.j. Worsham Sam Whitman The guys in the Central Mass Powersports Garage (Chris Dove among others) Ill also add: NYST - New York Safety Track And all their great coaches (for getting me faster) Lou Luzzi Lubi Baby Michael Armao Danny Lubi Joel Lubi Greg Moeller - for getting me out on the track in the first place
