Leee Black Childers photographed most of the musical and pop culture icons of NYCs seedy 70s and 80s scene. He was part of the Andy Warhol Factory group. After seeing his photographs, reading his books, and hearing his interviews, I realize he colored the pictures in my mind about an era that fascinates to this day, but that I was too young (and too in Ohio) to have been a part of while it was happening. RIP, Leee. And say hi to Joey, Johnny, and everyone else who got there first. I bet they have a table waiting.
