Legal friends, I need some help. Our fixed term tenancy agreement ended on 9 September 2012. We didnt renew, so under s5(2)HA1988 we moved onto a periodic tenancy. A tenants information leaflet thing the letting agents gave us (its not signed by us and isnt part of the tenancy agreement) says that 2 months notice is needed, regardless of whether a fixed or periodic tenancy is in place. Our rent is paid monthly, so s5(3)(d)HA1988 suggests that only 1 months notice is needed. Its the 2 months requirement enforceable by them in any way?
