Less anyone misunderstand, a global increase in hurricanes was a core prediction of global warming cultists. This makes sense: we get more and worse storms in hot muggy days (at least around here). This theme was particularly effective as agitation propaganda after Katrina, since people stupid and forgot that most of the damage was caused not by the unusual severity of the storm, but by the levee failing. The twin problems here are that we are at a 50 year low for global hurricane/typgoon activity--I well know this because I got myself certified as a Catastrophic Event Claims Adjuster--and that propagandists masquerading as scientists will not admit this is a devastating blow to their midels, which thus far have predicted "weather"successfully. Weather does happen. We can all admit that. It is PREDICTING it that is at issue, and they have been wrong every time they have opwned their mouths.
